Valencia CF and VCF Foundation to inaugurate football pitch at Sedaví Municipal Sports Complex
The pitch has been renovated thanks to donations from LALIGA EA SPORTS, Divina Seguros, and contributions made to the 'FILA CERO SOLIDARIA' initiative.
The football pitch at the Sedaví Municipal Sports Complex will reopen this Tuesday, May 20, after being renovated thanks to the support of Valencia CF, through the VCF Foundation, LALIGA EA SPORTS, Divina Seguros, and the donations contributed to the 'FILA CERO SOLIDARIA' initiative.
Following the recent inaugurations of the football pitches at the Jaume Ortí Municipal Sports Complex in Aldaia and the 'Mundial 82' in Catarroja, more than 250 children from partner academy CF Atlético Sedaví can now once again enjoy the sports facility, which had been devastated by the DANA storm that affected numerous towns across the Valencia region.
This marks another step toward the return to normality in physical, social, and educational activities, enabling the physical and emotional development of the young footballers who were affected by the flooding.
The reconstruction of the football fields highlights the collaborative spirit of the ‘Escoles VCF’ project by the VCF Academy. Through this initiative, the 43 schools involved not only benefit from the methodology, talent, and training of a globally recognised model, but also serve to strengthen bonds and solidify relationships between clubs, with Valencia CF acting as a catalyst.
COLLABORATIONS WITH PRESTIGIOUS ENTITIES
Valencia CF's official insurer, Divina Seguros, joined the Club’s charitable initiative – ‘UNITS COM SEMPRE’ – from the very beginning, matching the highest contribution made to the ZERO SOLIDARITY LINE. Additionally, Divina Seguros provided, free of charge, private health coverage—including accident and illness coverage—to over a thousand boys and girls from the affected football schools due to DANA.
Furthermore, this Valencian company will, together with Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation, present a musical instrument to the Santa Cecilia Musical Group of Sedaví.
LALIGA EA SPORTS’s collaboration for the restoration of the field is part of the FC FUTURES project, which aims to ensure easy and quality access to football for children and young people worldwide. As part of this project, balls and sporting equipment have also been donated to the affected schools in the area.
